Joint Venture Company between Daiichi Sankyo and The Kitasato Institute to be Established and Begin Operations on April 1, 2011

Tokyo, Japan (November 30, 2010) - Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; hereafter; Daiichi Sankyo) and The Kitasato Institute (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereafter, Kitasato) announced today that, based on the basic agreement entered into by Daiichi Sankyo and Kitasato on July 30, a definitive agreement has been signed stipulating that the joint venture company between the two companies will be established and begin operations on April 1, 2011.
